  The results of the recent survey shows that the majority of people responding were from rural areas.  How do you support each other when you live many kms from a formal support group or regional hospital?   Share your stories here.

  While I live in a city now the majority of my life has been spent in a small farming community so know the hassles you can experience. I have had experience as a supporter of someone with cancer and its great that you can talk to your husband. Yes I found the nurses were fabulous I also turned to the internet for information and support and found there was plenty of information but little support except for patient telephone numbers to ring which I found daunting. I am sure others will respond to your posts and maybe your husband would like to join and post in the supporters section he may find others will reply with similar experiences to his. (-:

  Yes that is the main thing the support and to know you are not the only one with a particular problem. I hope your husband will join and find someone to chat to who is going through the same experiences :-)

  Yes rural people are not aware of Cancer Facts.We are the people who can make those people aware of Cancer such as breast cancerr,blood cancer etc. and can save their lives.
