  Presently Mum's pain medication was increased and she is still is a whole lot of pain. She can barely walk, get in bed and get up from her chair.

  She is currently taking 20mg Oxycontin three times daily, Endone 5mg for breakthrough and 150mcg Fentanyl Patches.

  Time for hospital? How do I get her to go? :(

  I'm so very saddened to hear your mum is in constant pain Adele. The people who are able to help in this situation are her Palliative Care team, GP, others involved in her care, and of course your parents themselves. They are in the controlling position - they need to let the treating team know of any problems they have and ask for further help. This may involve some hospitalisation or respite care, but will not be possible until they seek this themselves.
  
  Meanwhile you must focus on taking care of yourself (as we have discussed previously). If YOU are not coping, this will likely add to your parent's stress. Please continue to seek the help you need to best cope with this situation, which will in turn be better for all involved. You may not be able to help your parents much more than you have already, as the rest is up to them. I am sure they value all the wonderful support you provide, and they worry about you too!

  Thanks Glenys. Had the Community Nurse around today talking with Mum about going into hospital. It looks like she may do it, she is scared. Mum has been sleeping a bit today, Dad reckons it is the most sleep she has had for a while. I am concerned as she is fairly drowsy, almost fell asleep on her Kermode. Trying not to freak out and get some help.
